The origin of "Red Velvet" is covered in mystery to these days. Some sources claim it dates back to 1959 and it was invented in the restaurant of the legendary Waldorf Astoria - New York. Others say, a Canadian bakery invented it. Whatever the story says, the fact remains that Red Velvet is considered one of the most famous cakes and indeed it's one of the most delicious I have ever tasted. There are countless of recipes online, however I always follow this one and it has never failed me. A three-layer cake is the perfect solution for any occasion (birthday, kids' and not-so-kids' parties, etc.). Today, without a reason, I baked some mini Red Velvets and I would like to share the recipe with all of you.
